BALTO Codes - New Hampshire
NH first-issue porcelains were produced by the Baltimore Enamel & Novelty
Company from 1905 through 1911. Through the end of 1908, the plates were
marked with BALTO's hand-painted dating codes, but beginning around #2861, the
plates began to carry Baltimore Enamel's oval maker's mark instead. Before this
change, BALTO is known to have produced at least nine separate batches of
first-issue passenger, dealer and motorcycle porcelains, the last of which was
produced in October of 1908
