BALTO Codes - West Virginia
The undated West Virginia porcelains were issued in 1907-08 and began in the
400s where the 1906 metal issues had left off. There are only two runs of plates
known to have been manufactured - one in May of 1907 that encompassed
numbers up to perhaps 700 and a second in October of 1907. Early District of
Columbia and Rhode Island porcelains are the only other BALTO-produced
state-issued plates to have been fully manufactured in just two batches.
