JANUARY, 2019 - 1921-22 NILES, MI AUTO BUS

This plate turned up at an auction in southern Michigan and was subsequently
purchased by St. Louis based collector Koby Vinokor.  This plate is especially
interesting because it becomes the first and only city-issued porcelain license
plate known from the state of Michigan.

FEBRUARY, 2019 - 1940-41 PROVIDENCE, RI TRUCKING

Rhode Island collector Andrew Primrose snagged this previously unknown
Providence trucking plate from a beer memorabilia collector in Narragansett who
bought it from a junk shop.  It becomes the 16th different trucking year known
from the city and the second to last issue date for these obscure plates.

FEBRUARY, 2019 - 1914-15 STAMFORD, CT TRUCKMAN

This is the second new Stamford plate to show up in the last three months.  It is
tied with a known vendor plate as the oldest example from the city and it
becomes the third year of Truckman plates in collectors' hands.  There are now
nine different Stamford porcelain plates that can be identified.

APRIL, 2019 - 1921-22 UNKNOWN NORTH CAROLINA FOR HIRE

Although I cannot be 100% certain that this plate is from North Carolina, I have
decided to include it in that state's archive.  Not only was it dug in Tarboro, NC,
but it joins a whole host of porcelain For Hire plates from various North Carolina
cities and counties around the same era.

JULY, 2019 - EAGLE LAKE, TX PRE-STATE

This is an example of a typical owner-provided pre-state plate from Texas on the
Stafford Illuminated base with individual tiles.  These plates on the whole are not
terribly rare, with perhaps a couple hundred known, but this is the first example
I've ever seen of a Eagle Lake tile being used.
